Windows 7 Netbook Guide

Everything you need to know about buying a netbook with Windows 7

Windows 7 Starter edition was developed by Microsoft specifically with netbooks in mind
, and due to it’s low cost, will be what most new netbooks will come pre-installed with.  Windows 7 Starter Edition lacks some of the eye candy  such as the sleek Aero Peek interface, changeable desktop wallpaper, and premium games.  It also lacks some usability tools like the Windows Mobility Center and  doesn’t have multitouch capabilities.  Other than those limitations, you’re getting a stable, reliable and efficient new opearating system – which is more than we say for Windows Vista, the OS that most netbooks chose to skip!

Windows 7 Starter Edition is not available for sale separately, so you can only get it pre-installed on a new netbook or laptop.
