Amazon UK starts listing Windows 7 netbooks for pre-order

It’s the week of the Windows 7 launch (Oct 22nd is the date) and Amazon has started listing Windows 7 netbooks with prices and specifications. For the most part, there aren’t any huge changes besides an operating system change from Windows XP to Windows 7 Starter. However, quite a few netbooks are also getting a hard drive bump up to 250gb, and prices are generally being reset back to their original, non-discounted launch prices.

Windows 7 Seashell Netbooks Announced in Germany

As you’re probably aware by now, Windows 7 will be launching next week Thursday, and subsequently we expect a torrent of netbook news at the same time. One of the first is Asus, who in Germany revealed their Seashell netbook lineup for Windows 7. As Netbooked mentions, there aren’t many surprises here.

Microsofts ditches the Windows 7 Starter restrictions for netbooks
