Samsung ‘N310′ Go gets updated with Pine Trail

Samsung have launched an updated version of the Samsung N310 ‘Go’ netbook called the N315. The new N315 netbook looks identical to the original Samsung N310 and has the same rubberized case and chiclet-style keyboard which got rave reviews laster year but swaps out the N270 processor for the new 1.66GHz Intel Atom Pine Trail N450 processor.

Samsung to make Netbooks for Kids?

Netbooks are inherently ideal for kids – they’re light, rugged (esp. with an SSD), won’t break the bank if they get lost or broken, and kids are well suited to smaller keyboard. Samsung to Launch Chrome OS Netbook this Year

Samsung let slip during the launch of Samsung’s newest Pinetrail netbooks in Australia that they’ll be releasing a netbook with Google Chrome OS later this year. They say it will be similar to the current Samsung N210, so perhaps the same chassis with a 10.1 inch screen. It’ll come with 2GB RAM, at least 64GB of storage, built-in 3G and a 12 hour battery. No word on processor but we’re thinking perhaps Samsung’s new Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (1.5GHz).

[Review] New Pinetrail Powered Samsung N510

The Samsung N150 is one of a handful of mini-laptops powered by Intel Atom N450 processors that Samsung introduced last month. It’s one of the cheaper new models, and probably as a result sports a rather ordinary looking plastic case and a battery that’s good for up to 7.5 hours. That’s ok, but the new N210/220 battery runs 11 or more hours.
