A few Asian manufacturer’s netbooks have shown up on the products page over at the Computex homepage. It’s interesting, we keep seeing these models (mostly from China) for absurdly low prices, yet they never seem to make it to UK or US shores. Perhaps 2011 will be different. Check past the break for details and pictures of the new Lengda P10Q, Jumper JK01 and Marasst PNS1010.

Lengda P10Q

10-inch netbook Pinetrail netbook.. Atom N450 processor, 10-inch 1024 x 600 display, up to 2GB RAM, Gigabit LAN, UMTS 3G, Bluetooth, 1.3MP webcam. Only 2x USB ports however. 3 and 6-cell batteries providing 3.3 and 5.5 hours runtime. Weight at around 1 kg for the 3-cell.

Jumper JK01

First picture. Another typical Pinetrail netbook with an Atom N450 processor, up to 2GB RAM, up to 320GB HDD, 10.1” 1024 x 600 display, Bluetooth and UMTS 3G.

Marasst PNS1010

Another Pinetrail netbook, no further details known at this point.

Remember the Sony Vaio P? Well, here’s another netbook from China that taken at least a few ‘styling hints’ from that tiny Sony. The latest from ODM is called the BYD (I think I got that the right way around). It packs a 10-inch display, Atom Z530 processor, 1GB RAM, 1.8” storage, 2x USB ports and a SIM card slot for 3G. There’s an optical mouse instead of a trackpad and two buttons on each side of the mouse.

The downsides are that it lacks video output and an ethernet port and the battery is not user replaceable. Pricing is around $300 for manufacturers but you’re not likely to ever get your hands on one like all other previous Vaio P clones.

There’s more after the break.

You’ll remember, the Mobinnova Beam is an 8.9 inch smartbook that uses NVIDIA’s Tegra platform. NVIDIA and Mobinnova have been showing off the Beam for months, but it’s yet to hit the streets. We do know that when it ships, it will be available with either Windows CE or Google’s upcoming Android OS but up until now, we’ve only seen prototypes running Windows CE. Now Laptop Magazine’s Mark Spoonauer has spent some hands-on time with a Mobinnova Beam netbook running Google Android.

Unfortunately, outt of the box, the Android version of the Mobinnova Beam won’t be able to download applications from the Android Market, but Mobinnova does plan to load some video games that will take advantage of Tegra’s 3D graphics capabilities. The device will also support 1080p HD video, and will offer a video download service via CinemaNow.

Still no word on the pricing or availability, but there’s a good chance we’ll eventually see the Mobinnova Beam offered at subsidized prices by mobile broadband providers.

The Averatec N1200 that we took a first look at late last month gets the full review treatment form Laptop Magazine today. The model reviewed was the N1231EE1E-1 which has the following specs: Atom N450 processor, 10.1” 1024 x 600 display, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, 1.3MP webcam and Windows 7 Starter.

On the positive side were the aesthetics, the Averatec is comparable to the HP Mini 5101/2 series with a brushed metallic lid. The screen, bezel and touchpad are glossy though, so keep your greasy fingers away. It’s one of the lighter 10-inch netbooks at 2.2 pounds but that’s primarily because of the 2-cell 3,200mAh li-poly battery which runs out of juice in just 2.5 hours. Also on netgative side is an odd keyboard design which is pushed to one side with a panel on the right which squishes a key punctuation keys. The webcam is also awkwardly placed on the left screen bezel, making webcam shots difficult.

The Averatec N1231EE1E-1 is currently available for $299.99 USD in the states with a larger HDD and 6-cell battery will be available in April next month for $379 USD. No word on UK pricing or availability yet though.

Giada launched a bevvy of new nettops previously at CeBIT 2010, but now they’ve made their first foray into netbooks with the Viva NE200. Sadly, unlike their nettops there’s no Nvidia ION to be found here, and the NE200 is a bog standard netbook with the usual specs. Namely, a 10.1” 1024 x 600 display, Intel Atom N450 processor, GMA 3150 graphics, 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, 1.3MP webcam. Weighs 1.15kg / 2.5 lbs. Usual ports: 3x USB, VGA, audio jacks.

Maybe they’re hoping the pink lid with swooshing swirls and hearts will set them apart…
