This Week in Nettop News

There have been a few new nettop releases this past week, and via NettopReview.com we have covered three of them here.

1.) Tranquil T7-MP2 is a HTPC Nettop – Tranquil PC is a UK-based PC maker, and the T7-MP2 is a new system with an Intel Atom D510 dual core processor and NVIDIA ION graphics. The home theatre focused machine features a fanless design for quiet operation, and a plethora of video and audio inputs and outputs. Read more about the Tranquil HTPC nettop here.

Is Asus’s Eee Keyboard Shipping for real this time?

Yes, it’s here again, the Asus Eee keyboard. We know we said it was shipping in October 2009 before, and then again in February 2010 but this time they swear it’s real ;-) . Well, this time there’s a promo video and Nettop Review is reporting (via Engadget) that the long awaited Eee Keyboard will be shipping this month.

Lenovo’s IdeaCentre Q100nettop energy efficient and tiny, but flawed.

Our friends at NettopReview.com have gotten their hands on a new nettop from Lenovo that has launched in the States. Priced at $299 in the US, the Q100 is a very small form factor nettop, powered by an Intel Atom 1.6ghz processor and Sis Mirage S3 graphics. There is also a higher spec’d Q110 version with an Nvidia Ion graphics chipset.

Build your own nettop with Asus’s AT3N7A-1 Ion motherboard

NettopReview reports that Asus has launched a new motherboard, called the AT3N7A-1, which packs a dual core Atom 330 processor (running at 1.6ghz) and Nvidia’s Ion graphics. The motherboard supports dual channel DDR2-800 memory, 8-channel audio, eSATA and SATA connections, and Bluetooth. There’s also a single PCI slot, and an HDMI jack.
