UK Netbook Review

Since Jolicloud’s Jolibook is now available here in the UK, it’s about time for a review of this new netbook. We heard a few thoughts from CrunchGear earlier this week and todays Engadget’s Joanna Stern has published a detailed review.

The long awaited Jolibook netbook is now up for order for £279.99 at Amazon UK! Apparently the computer was actually built by VYE computers, since it’s being described as the VYE Jolibook, or the Jolibook by VYE on retail sites.

We’ve now see the first official shots of Jolicloud’s Jolibook and also heard that it’s expected to launch in the UK before anywhere else. Today, the Wall Street Journal reports that the netbook will be available in the UK on Friday, with other countries following soon after.

We heard last week that Jolicloud’s new netbook will launch in the UK first, and today Jolicloud have released a few press shots of their upcoming netbook. There’s nothing apparently groundbreaking in the design of the Jolibook. It has 3 USB ports, Ethernet and VGA jacks, a 10 inch screen, flat keys, and a touchpad with a single button. It looks to have a 6 cell battery that potrudes slightly from the back of the device.
