UK Netbook Review

Fujitsu has introduced one of th first netbooks to run Meego Linux today in Malaysia. The 10 inch Fujitsu Esprimo MH300 will run about $322 (in the US) and feature a 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N455 processor, 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display and a 3 cell battery. So, the only thing that really makes this little guy stand out from the netbook crowd is the open source operating system.

We first saw the Fujitsu PH520 a few weeks ago, and now it’s available for purchase in the US for $599. It’s in the ‘thin & light’ category, with an 11.6″ screen and an AMD NEO K125 1.7ghz Processor. That price seems a bit high (considering the US market) since the similiarly spec’ed Acer Aspire One AO721 is more than $150 cheaper at just $429. We do expect the Fujitsu’s price to come down after from the launch price at some point, narrowing the gap.
