BenQ has another new model out, albeit currently only in Asia, Australia, Russian and some Eastern European countries. The BenQ U101 is a fairly standard netbook with a few bits that make it worth a closer look.

Visually, the first thing you’ll notice about this netbook is that it’s shiny. The screen is glossy, and the outer shell is a high gloss piano black. That looks good on video, and when it’s new, but less so when you’ve had it for a few months and it’s accumulated some greasy fingerprints.

Some standouts from the usual netbook fare is that the U101 feature a hard drive behind the battery that can be replaced by removing just one screw. It also features 3 PCI-e slots for your 3g, WIFi, SSD and whatever else you may want to upgrade with. Taking a cue from Apple, the BenQ’s trackpad is larger than usual, glossy, and hides the right and left button.

You can find the product page here and a video from Lars at Netbooknews after the break.
