Asus Eee PC X101H netbook shows up at the FCC

The Asus Eee PC X101 is a new budget netbook that uses an 8GB solid state disk and runs MeeGo Linux instead of Windows. Asus plans to launch the netbook in the US later this summer at a price of just $200. We’ve also learned that the company is also working on a slightly different version called the Eee PC X101H which will have a higher capacity hard drive and Windows operating system – and that’s the version that showed up at the FCC web site today.

Asus to launch Cedar Trail netbooks in September

It looks like we’ll have to wait until September to see the first Cedar Trail netbooks from Asus. At least, that’s when DigiTimes reports that’s when Asus will begin shipping its Cedar Trail machines.

Asus Eee PC X101 budget netbook will sell for just $200 USD

Asus unveiled the Eee PC X101 at Computex this morning with some interesting features. It’s much thinner than the normal netbook and will be available with a choice of Windows 7 or MeeGo Linux. Finally, there’s the price – just $200 which is much less than the $300-400 that most nebooks sell for in the States.

Asus Eee PC 1015px with Atom N570 now shipping in the US

Asus has launched its first 10 inch netbook with an Intel Atom N570 dual core 1.66 GHz processor called the Asus Eee PC 1015PX. The Eee PC 1015PX most closely resembles the Eee PC1015PEM which has a 1.5 GHz Intel Atom N550 chip.
