Asus Eee PC 1215N to ship Aug. 23rd in the States

Yes, another post about the Asus Eee PC 1215N, but we just can’t wait to see these thing in the wild. Engadget reports that Asus will start shipping the laptop in the States on or around August 23rd.

Asus’s new Eee PC 1015, 1016, and 1018P show up in the States

We started seeing the new Asus netbook lineup a few months ago – namely the Eee PC 1015, 1016, and 1018 but the company didn’t tell us when they’d launch. I guess no news was good news, since the launch date came sooner than we expected (in the US at least). US retailer Best Buy has the Eee PC 1015P in stock for $350 USD.

New Asus Eee PC 1215N is a netbook powerhouse

I know what you’re thinking – using the word ‘powerhouse’ and ‘netbook’ in the same headline doesn’t seem right, but keep reading. The new Asus Eee PC 1215N uses Intel’s latest 1.8GHz dual-core Intel Atom D525 processor with NVIDIA Optimus to intelligently switch between its NVIDIA Ion discrete and integrated graphics. Sure, it’s not going to compete with your 8 core desktop machine, but this thing should be at least twice as fast as any other ‘normal’ netbook.

Asus Eee PC 1016P to start shipping in Germany

ASUS has three new Eee PC netbooks coming out and the business oriented Eee PC 1016P has got a release date in Germany. It’ll be available early next month (July) priced at 449 euros.
