New Archos Gbook could be upcoming Chrome OS netbook

Archos better know for making personal media players, and more recently Android tablet computers, might have a new netbook up their sleeve. The folks at Pocket Now have found evidence suggesting that Archos might bring out a new netbook called the ‘Gbook’. Archos has filed for trademark protection for the term “Gbook” in Europe.

Archos to launch Archos 13 Netbook

Better known for protable music players, and later video players and tablet,s Archos is trying to step up to larger devices with this 13.3″ screen’d, Intel Atom powered netbook. Their new Archos 13 features a 13.3 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display and an Intel Atom processor. Interestingly, it uses the somewhat power hungry, dual core Intel Atom D510 processor actually intended for use in nettops and desktops.

Archos adds to its netbook lineup with the 10s

The new Archos 10s “MiniPC,” has mostly identical specs to the Archos 10 but packs them in a slimmer and lighter package.
