Acer Aspire One ‘Happy’ shows up in Italy

We’ve heard a lot about the Acer Aspire One “Happy’, and we’ve already seen the take-apart video, but now the colourful Acer Aspire One Happy has been spotted in Italy. Acer recently updated the netbook with a new ripple pattern design on the lid and new yellow, orange, blue, and pink colors. They also updated the netbook to the latest specs including a 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N570 dual core processor, 1GB of DDR3 memory and up to 320GB of hard drive space.

Is Acer’s ZGB project their upcoming Chrome OS netbook?

Macles has dug up a Chrome OS bug report that sheds some more light on Acer’s upcoming Chrome OS netbook – code named ZGB. The machine appears to have a 1366 x 768 pixel display, which is better than the 1024×600 resolution we see on many current netbooks.

Updated Acer Aspire One Happy features new colors and latest Intel Atom processor

Macles reports that Acer will be releasing a new version of the Acer Aspire One called the Acer Aspire One Happy. There are two main updates, which include new colors and a new processor. The updated Aspire One Happy will be available in “Blueberry Shake, Banana Cream, Papaya Milk, and Strawberry Yogurt,” also known as blue, yellow, peach and pink. Like the AO257, the new Acer Aspire One Happy will be available with a 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N570 dual core processor. It will have a 10 inch display, 8 hour battery, Bluetooth and WiFi. The netbook is expected to weigh about 2.2 pounds.

Acer Aspire One 722 netbook uses new AMD C-50 chip

Acer has already updated the 10″ Acer Aspire One 521 with the new AMD C-50 processor, and at the same time, the new model became known as the Acer Aspire One 522 . Now, the company also plans to launch an Aspire One 722 and as you can probably guess, the new AMD C-50 processor is present in the 11.6″ Aspire One 722 as well.

Dual screened Acer Iconia Touchbook starts shipping next month

The Acer Iconia Touchbook is an interesting mix between a tablet and a notebook. It has two 14 inch touchscreen displays, with another screen where you’d normally find a keyboard last year. Acer has announced the Touchbook will go on sale in the US and Canada for about $1200 starting in April.
