Asus Eee PC 1215N Review

As we noted earlier, new Asus Eee PC 1215N is to start shipping in August (for the States at least) but that didn’t stop the folks at Netbook Live from getting their hands one and putting it through its paces.  On first impression, the 1215N is a real powerhouse, with a dual core Atom D525 processor and NVIDIA ION 2 graphics. That should mean that multitasking duties as well as HD video playback will be a breeze – possibly even some 3D video gaming while you’re at it.

The combination of the Atom D525 processor and the next-generation NVIDIA ION graphics seems to be a winner, as the netbook scored 2671 on the 3DMark06 benchmark — which is more than a thousand points higher than the Asus Eee PC 1201N, which has an older dual core Atom 330 processor and first generation NVIDIA ION graphics.

You can find more details, as well as some additional benchmark results at Netbook Live.
