Asus’s new Eee PC 1015, 1016, and 1018P show up in the States
We started seeing the new Asus netbook lineup a few months ago – namely the Eee PC 1015, 1016, and 1018 but the company didn’t tell us when they’d launch. I guess no news was good news, since the launch date came sooner than we expected (in the US at least). US retailer Best Buy has the Eee PC 1015P in stock for $350 USD.
There’s a pre-order page here for the Eee PC 1018P says the netbook will run $430 and will ship with a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 CPU, 1GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, 3 USB 3.0 ports, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, a 44Whr battery, and Windows 7 Starter Edition.
And also the Eee PC 1016P is a bit pricier at just a bit under $500. It shares the same 10 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display and Atom N455 chip as the Eee PC 1018P, but justifies the price bump with 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, a 48WHr battery, and Windows 7 Professional.
