[Review] Sony Vaio W Eco Series
CNET has reviewed Sony’s new Vaio W Eco Series. I hear you ask, why it is called the Eco series? Well, the chassis of this netbok is made from recycled materials and, like most new netbooks, the old less efficient Atom N270 processor has been ditched for the more energy efficient Intel Atom N450 processor.
THE GOOD: Somewhat ‘greee’ with use of recycled materials. Comes with its own bag; Hi-res display.
THE BAD: Cramped keyboard; onyl average video playback; more expensive than similar Netbooks.
Verdict: Pretty standard ‘pinetrail’ netbook fare with the exception of the hi-res display.
We don’t know yet when this netbook will come to the UK, but if you’re in the US, or headed there soon, you can pre-order it for $479.99 at Amazon.com
