TVR-Zone forum member Denosha has managed to get his hands on Acer’s 11.6 inch touchscreen tablet netbook (the Acer Aspire 1820PTZ) and has put up a review and a few videos (after the break).

Here’s a few of his main points summarized in bullet points:

  • Heavy for a 11.6 inch notebook at 3.8 pounds.  The screen is quite thick and heavy, and can cause it to tip over at certain angles.
  • Speaker sound was tinny and soft, but S/PDIF output will let you connect external speakers
  • Plastic case, but good build quality.  No  noticeable keyboard flex
  • Resistive touchscreen is sharp, but color and contrast  not great.
  • The pressure sensitive  touchscreen can recognize either finger or stylus input.
  • No problems with HD YouTube videos or 720p video playback, 1080P may be just barely possible.
  • Good battery life, estimate of 7 to 8 hours of run time from the 5600mAh battery.

You can check out a few videos and the full specs  after the break.
