Qualcomm Shows off Snapdragon Smartbook Prototypes
Just a few days ago, chip maker Qualcomm announced that they would partner with Lenovo to produce one of the first smartbooks to hit the market in the US through wireless carrier AT&T. Now, Qualcomm is pushing Smartbooks some more, this time with their own reference designs and prototypes. The Smartbook is designed to slot somewhere in between your smartphone (iPhone, Blackberry, Droid, etc) and a netbook. These, from Qualcomm, run with a 1ghz Snapdragon processor and Google’s Android operating system.
SlashGear said the Android prototype with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor felt just as responsive as a typical netbook running Windows.
