There’s no mistaking that the traditional netbook category is being stretched in all dimensions.  On the small end, there are smartbooks taking battery life and portability to new levels, with 7″ to 10″ screens.  On the larger end, there are a plethora of new netbooks utilizing higher resolution 11″, 12″ and sometimes even 13″ screens.

Chippy at UMPC Portal has been doing a little study and has been counting the number of distinct models available in Germany viaGeizhals.at, and has referenced them according to their screen size.  It’s his third count, and what he has found is that, in general, netbook screens are getting larger.   More specifically, there are a larger number of new 11″ and 12″ netbooks on the market now, than before, but the 10″ screen size is still in the majority.
