With an 11.6″ screen, Nvidia Ion graphics and the Intel Atom processor, the £320 Compaq Mini 311 (branded HP in the states) may very well hit the sweet spot as far as netbooks go.  A MyHPMini forummember ‘Teknokracy’ has purchased a HP Mini 311 over in Canada and has proceeded to dissect it so we can all have a look under the good of this very capable netbook.

His impressions?  Fairly easy to take apart, and put back together, well built but not a lot of room for upgrades.  His came with Windows 7, a 250GB HD, and 2GB of ram but we’ll have to do with less impressive specs.  The UK version, the Compaq Mini 311 is currently shipping with Windows XP, an N270, 1gb of RAM, Nvidia Ion LE and 160gb of hard drive.  It’s shipping now for £320

Check out more teardown pics after the break.
