Google Holding Chrome OS launch Event this Thursday
Google is planning to hold a Chrome OS event at its headquarters in Mountain View, CA this Thursday morning, according to Techcrunch. They will be providing some technical background on the operating system, as well as a full walk through of the OS with demos.
Sundar Pichai, Google’s VP of Product Management and Matthew Papakipos, Google Engineering Director for Google Chrome OS will also be speaking at the event and have a Q&A session afterwards.
It was reported that Google would release Chrome OS this week, and possibly even make it available for download this week, but it appears that the official public release of the OS will be next year. That doens’t rule out that we may get a partial, Alpha or Beta release on Thursday though.
