Amimon's Wireless HD Module

Measuring at just 50mm x 30mm, Amimon’s WHDI module will fit into almost any netbook and provide it with the capability to send HD quality video to any other WHDI enabled device – for example a Television.  That’s useful since many netbooks are capable of playing HD content, but their displays are seldom 1080p compatible.  Of course, you can always use the VGA or HDMI output prot, but that means using a cable.

Chip maker Amimon’s latest WHDI module is designed to relegate that cable back to the cable drawer.  Their WHDI technology lets you stream 1080p content wirelessly to set top boxes, TVs, or Blu-ray players that are also equipped with WHDI technology.

No word on price or availability yet, but don’t expect to find it in the ‘ultra cheap’ price range.
