[Rumour] Acer and Lenovo to launch Tegra powered, Chrome OS Smartbooks this month

Tegra Smartbooks from Lenovo and Acer running Google Chrome OS
Shanzai.com reports that Lenovo and Acer planning to release Tegra powered devices running Google’s new Chrome operating system before September is over. Could these be the first Smartbooks from Acer and Lenovo? Maybe, but I really doutbt we’ll see anything running Google’s Chrome OS within the next 6 months. We did see leaked screenshots yesterday (probably fake) but even if they’re real, it looks very unpolished still.

You can tell that this is fake since tegra is the mobile phone platform not the netbook platform which uses ion.

Hi PMB,
Interesting point, but Nvidia is aiming Tegra at the Smartbook market. Smartbooks fall somewhere in between smartphones and netbooks.
