New Optima OP3W netbook comes with integrated 3G

Optima OP3W 3g Netbook
The new OP3W netbook from Optima looks to be a Chinese only model for now, but we can reasonably supect that we may see it here in the west as well – under the Optima name or more likely rebradned. The Optima features a built in 3G UTMS module, accessible only by removing one of the covers on the bottom of the netbook. So, it would seem that swapping a SIM card in and out will require a screwdriver as no SIM slot was found.
Sascha at NetbookNews checked out the OP3W netbook at IFA in Berlin and was impressed with the build quality and large keyboard and trackpad on this netbook. Furthemore, the keys had a good tactile feel and the touchpad has two separate buttons. On the downside, the particular unit only included a 3 cell, 2200mAh battery good for about 3 hours of use.
The rest of the specs are pretty standard. It has a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, 3 USB ports, Ethernet and VGA ports, a 1.3MP webcam and a matte display. As you can see in the hands-on video after the break, the cover on this netbook is glossy and quickly attracts a plethora of fingerprint grease.
