No more new netbooks from Acer and Asus this year?

New Acer and Asus netbooks suspended for 2009
Acer and ASUS are said to be freezing new netbooks in the second half of 2009, according to Digitimes, in response to Intel’s decision to delay the launch of their new Pine Trail-M platform until Q1 2010. In the meantime, Acer and Asus are said to be changing focus to the thin and light notebook segment using Intel’s CULV (Consumer Ultra Low Voltage) processors instead of Atom CPUs.
There’s a bit more bad news, ASUS is said to be delaying the launch of the 10” T101H tablet netbook until after Windows 7 launches in October.
