Digitimes reports that Intel has decided to hold off on the successor of the Intel Atom processors, dubbed ‘Pinetrail’ until early in 2010.  Earlier they had planned to launch the new netbook CPU in the second quarter of 2009.  Intel expects netbooks sales to peak in late 2009 and states that they did not want to disrupt the market with an new product launch.  It sounds like they want to use the new processor launch to pump some excitement back into netbooks on the downturn of a peak in the market later this year.
