New low-power Intel Atom N450 processors to debut in September

The new Intel Atom n450 CPU
We previously reported that we’d see new netbook processors from Intel in October here, but it seems we may see the lastest from Intel a little sooner. Intel has announced that they will be showing off their new technology innovations during the Intel Developers Forum in San Francisco, CA.
The new Inte l Atom N450 processor is not expected to bring significant performance improvements over the existing N270 and N280 processors, but they will bring significant improvements in power consumption at about half the size. This means we can expect to see thinner, cooler and quieter netbooks with even longer battery life, and perhaps batteries that don’t stick out past the main chassis. See our article here for a detailed look at the N450.
Intel Developers Forum will be held from September 22 – 24.
