Netbook operating systems are gettting exciting!
The firms behind the Series A (first round) of funding are Atomico Ventures and Mangrove Capital Partners. One advisor at Atomico Venture, Niklas Zennström was also involved with Kazaa, Skype and Joost.
The progress of Jolicloud is steady, alth0ugh there is news from Krim, the founder of Jolicloud, that they will be replacing the underlying Ubuntu netbook remix base with something else.
Other changes are:
- Improved search engine for finding apps and users.
- Improved responsiveness.
- Can now use your Facebook or Twitter Avatar for your Jolicloud profile.
You can get more info at the Jolicloud Blog and see the press release covering the event too.
