Two new Gigabyte netbooks have reached the US, the Gigabyte Booktop M1022 and TouchNote T1028M.

The Gigabyte Booktop M1022(M) comes in at an un-netbook like price of $449. It comes with a unique docking station that lets you connect a keyboard and mouse in order to user the netbook as if it were a desktop computer.   Furthermore, it has a flush-mounted 6-cell battery, rated at 8 hours.

The Gigabyte TouchNote T1028(M) is a 10.1” Tablet netbook costing $599, which is  $100 more expensive than the recently released ASUS Eee PC  T91, but you do get a larger screen and keyboard for your 100 dollars.  So now we have 3 distinct touchscreen tablet netbooks, the Asus Eee PC T91 and Intel Classmate PC 3 (aka CTL 2Go PC) and the Touchnote.

While the Gigabyte TouchNote T1028 is more expensive than the Asus and Classmate, it has a few things the others don’t, including a high resolution 10.1 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display and a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 CPU.
The netbook, which can be used in either tablet or clamshell mode also has 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, a 6 cell battery, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, and runs Windows XP.
