More 3g Netbooks are coming – Starting with the Asus Eee PC 1005HGO
The Asus Eee PC 1005hgo with Huawei 3g Modem
Asus added a Huawei EM770 3g modem to the Eee PC 1005HA to make it the 3g enabled Eee PC 1005HGO. For the rest, all the traditional netbook specs remain, including a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pxiel display, 1.66GHz Intel Atom CPU, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, 1GB of RAM, and a 160Gb hard drive. It ships with a 5 cell battery that should be good for around 8 to 10 hours.
Likewise with the Asus Eee PC 1101HGO Asus have added the same 3g modem to the Asus Eee PC 1101HA. It features an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display, 1.3GHz Intel Atom Z520 CPU, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, GB of RAM, and a 160Gb hard drive. It has a 6 cell, 8 hour battery.
I’m pretty certain we’ll see the trend continuing with 3g. Netbooks and 3g (later on WiMax) are just a match made in heaven. If you want, tell how you use your 3g netbook in the comments.
