Jolicloud, Netbook OS, get videod. Almost ready for launch.

Jolicloud Netbook OS launching soon
Jolicloud, is a custom operating system designed and built specifically for netbooks. The OS will be launched, to a select few Alpha users. This private Alpha release is quietly launching later this month for a select number of early testers and people who put themselves on the waiting list.
Jolicloud is based on Ubuntu and Debian but is optimized significantly for use with netbooks. It is designed for always on connections, whethr via WIFI or 3g. It enables users to install web applications that run as if they were installed natively, including Gmail, Skype, Boxee, Twitter, Facebook, DropBox, Meebo, and many more. It’s made possible thanks to a close collaboration with the developers behind Mozilla’s Prism project and the open standards that live on the Web.
Head over to jolicloud.com and sign up so you can get updates for an invitation.
Read past the break to see two videos of the new Jolicloud OS.
